Current and Previous Research Background

I'm a research fellow at Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University. I am currently working on spoken dialogue system with professor Ingrid Zukerman. Besides these, I'm collaborating with Victoria Lab., National ICT Australia on discovering drug side-effects and interactions using social media.

Prior to this, I was a honorary fellow at University of Melbourne working on an instant messaging dialogue system, web forum classification with Dr. Timothy Baldwin and Dr. Lawrence Cavedon. I was a research fellow at Victoria Lab., National ICT Australia. My work was to classify semantic labels of key sentences in MEDLINE abstracts. I also worked as a postdoctoral fellow working with Dr. Timothy Baldwin at University of Melbourne for Web Forum Project and working with Dr. Min-Yen Kan at National University of Singapore for Multidocument Terminology and Relationship Extraction.

I completed my Ph.D (August 2005 - January 2008) under the supervision of Dr. Timothy Baldwin at the University of Melbourne.
